“Hope you’re all doing well and staying safe,” Osaka wrote on Twitter.

The four-time Grand Slam champion has kept a low profile since withdrawing from Roland Garros following the controversy surrounding her decision to eschew media obligations. Osaka subsequently announced she would also miss Wimbledon, aiming to return to action in time for her home Olympics in Tokyo.

“She will be ready for the Olympics and is excited to play in front of her home fans,” her team wrote in a statement.
