First sunflowers, now sakura: Naomi Osaka's bouquet of flower-inspired Grand Slam outfits during the 2025 season is fully in bloom.
Osaka revealed the inspiration for, at least, the sneaker she'll wear at Roland Garros next week, with the latest custom colorway of her signature Nike GP Challenge 1s inspired by cherry blossoms.
"Spring is sakura season," Osaka wrote in unveiling the shoe on social media. "The girlies are gonna love this one."
In a subsequent story post to Instagram, the former world No. 1 confirmed that she is one of those "girlies."
“I love these shoes so much," she added, "they’re so adorable.”
Nike, on its website, highlighted that the shoe features the four shades of soft pink, titled Pink Foam, Pale Pink, Hyper Pink and Polarized Pink. The shoe will retail for $170 when it officially releases.
