Nick Monroe is working overtime in Melbourne this month. Just days removed from two weeks of hard lockdown, the 38-year-old American is walking the Melbourne Park grounds as Tennis Channel's eyes and ears.

He's catching up with players, like Venus Williams:

Getting credentials is usually a chore for players each week but this time around it's been quite the privilege. Players had to quarantine for two weeks, some in modified lockdown and 72 in hard lockdown, and pass numerous COVID-19 tests to gain access to the site.

Venus won her first match of 2021 at the WTA 500 Yarra Valley Classic over Aranxta Rus and will face Petra Kvitova next. Tiafoe dropped his first round to Corentin Moutet at the ATP 250 Murray River Open, but he's playing doubles with Monroe.
