The easiest place to spot a tennis player in the offseason was once the Maldives, but now? It might be a Formula One race.

After Sloane Stephens hung out with Rihanna, A$AP Rocky and others last week at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Hubert Hurkacz, Ons Jabeur, Holger Rune and Maria Sharapova were among the famous faces who hit the track Saturday at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the grand finale of the 2023 F1 season.

Behind the scenes, Denmark's Rune cracked a joke on social media at his own expense, saying he was inspired to finish his courses for his driver's license after meeting Monégasque driver Charles Leclerc, who drives with Scuderia Ferrari and placed second in the race to Max Verstappen.

In between watching laps on the track, Jabeur and Sharapova traded small talk and snapped photos together with Jabeur's husband, Karim Kamoun.

It was a special meeting of sorts for the two, coming in the weeks after Sharapova first revealed that Jabeur is an active player that she has a sweet affinity for.

"I'm rooting for Ons to win her first Grand Slam," the five-time major winner told Andrea Petkovic on the Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast in September. "She deserves that so much."

Jabeur was also happy to pose with retired Brazilian soccer superstar Ronaldo, while Hurkacz took advantage of some sweet golden hour lighting trackside while wearing jean shorts.

Sharapova and supermodel Naomi Campbell were among the celebrities who hugged it out with British Mercedes superstar Lewis Hamilton before his race, who finished in 9th place out of 20 drivers.

Other celebrities spotted at the Yas Marina Circuit for the main event included actors Orlando Bloom, Chris Hemsworth and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
