Ons Jabeur enjoyed every soccer fan’s dream meet-and-greet on Wednesday, as she took to social media to share snaps with former Real Madrid star David Beckham at Wimbledon.

The stars were once again out in force on Centre Court’s Royal Box, with cameras sighting the likes of actor Orlando Bloom and his fiance, singer Katy Perry, as well as British adventurer Bear Grylls.

But the buzz was all about Beckham on Wednesday. Jabeur, the No. 6 seed, was greeted with a warm hug from the soccer star and the pair struck up a friendly chat as photographers’ cameras clicked away.

“A pleasure and an honor to meet [David Beckham.] Thank you for this inspiring moment,” she wrote on Instagram, adding a ‘starry-eyed’ emoji to her caption.

Beckham’s dapper presence also seemed to cause a distraction for players like Jodie Burrage. The Brit was facing down No. 11 seed Daria Kasatkina on Centre Court when she spotted him in the Royal Box.

“Oh my God, David Beckham is watching me play tennis right now,” Burrage gushed during her post-match press conference. “I think everyone gets excited when David Beckham is around.

“He's just an incredible person. He's done a lot. It was a privilege to have him watching me today.”

Beckham’s arrival comes a day after tennis royalty Roger Federer and actual royalty Princess Kate paid a visit to Wimbledon. The former, who won 20 Grand Slam titles including eight at SW19, received an ovation from the Centre Court crowd in honor of his 2022 retirement from tennis.
