Naomi Osaka made her debut at New York Fashion Week on Monday, with virtually no lead-up warning.

Japanese designer Hanako Maeda did post one teaser clip, but didn't confirm who the special guest designer was until the actual day of the show.

Osaka and her older sister Mari helped create some of the looks seen on the ADEAM's runway. The two-time Grand Slam champion describes her style as "a bit too crazy for America but a bit too tame for Japan." That's a perfect combination for Maeda, who born in Tokyo but lives in New York, and launched her fashion line in 2012.

The 22-year-old joins an elite crew of tennis pros who dabble in clothing design including Serena Williams, who made her New York Fashion Show debut last year with her very own line.

Serena will return to the runway on Wednesday for her second S by Serena fashion show. Maybe Osaka will be the next to have her very own show.
