What a performance by Andy Murray. The Scot was entered his second-round match against Carlos Alcaraz as an underdog, but powered through from a set down to defeat the freakishly talented Spaniard 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.

After racing to a three-game lead in the first set, Murray’s level dipped a bit. Alcaraz dominated for a large portion of the match, but was unable to break Murray’s serve on four occasions in the second, and the wind shortly left the Spaniard’s sails.

As Darren Cahill said, this is likely Murray’s most impressive victory since returning from surgery. The 34-year-old will face off against the winner of Alexander Zverev and Jenson Brooksby in the third round.
