For her second tournament in a row, Danielle Collins has earned a WTA title. Taking on Daria Kasatkina in the final of the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic in San Jose, the American defeated the Russian in a thrilling three-set battle.

Three weeks ago, Collins had never reached a WTA final, let alone win a title. Since then, the 27-year-old has won 10 consecutive matches, including titles in Palermo and San Jose.

"It was one of my goals to win a tournament this year, and to now win two, it’s just been incredible," Collins said in post-match press. "It’s still kind of hard to comprehend that I’ve won two back-to-back."

With Collins missing five championship points in the second set, it looked like Kasatkina might make a three-set comeback, However, the No. 7 seednhung tough and will now break back into the Top 30—coming closer to her previous ranking high of No. 23.
