The 2021 season is already shaping up to be one of unique circumstances, with 72 players needing to complete a two-week full quarantine in their Australia hotel rooms, and the remainder of the competitors allowed out of their rooms a maximum of five hours a day for practice.
"I'm worried, I already am the type of guy that likes to get out and likes to be outside," said Reilly Opelka in the weeks leading up to Melbourne. "My biggest issue is just mentally how I'm gonna be. It kind of wears me down when I feel trapped and I feel like my whole life's revolving around tennis."
