Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships got a dose of renewed sibling rivalry this week when Karolina Pliskova took to the practice court with twin sister Kristyna.

Left-handed twin Kristyna, who peaked at No. 35 in the WTA rankings in 2017, has been off the circuit since the fall of 2021, when she announced she and then-fiancé David Hancko were expecting their first child.

Pliskova and Hancko were wed just over a year ago, and welcomed son Adam to their growing family in May.

While Kristyna has made no indication of a comeback, the former junior Wimbledon champion looked plenty comfortable delivering the serve that landed her a record 31 aces at the 2016 Australian Open.

Meanwhile, former world No. 1 Karolina is balancing a busy week in Dubai with aunt duties, winning her opening match against compatriot Marketa Vondrousova and bonding with baby Adam in a cute photo posted to Instagram.

Might we see the twins on the same side of the court sometime soon for a more official reunion?
