Game, set, GOAL!

Carlos Alcaraz enjoyed a tense but decisive Mutua Madrid Open victory in front of a star-studded crowd on Manolo Santana Stadium, including a slew of Real Madrid’s finest footballers.

As the defending champion edged past Grigor Dimitrov, 6-2, 7-5, cameras caught Rodrygo, Valverde and Ceballos, and Vini Jr. all taking in the action.

The Real Madrid squad were returning the favor for the reigning US Open champion, who turned up for their victory over Elche last fall and snapped photos with the team in the locker room.

With the win over Dimitrov, Alcaraz improved to 8-1 at his home Masters 1000, and will need plenty of support in what will be a rematch of the 2022 final against No. 13 seed Alexander Zverev in the fourth round.
