Just in case anyone needed a reminder, Roger Federer isn't just a really great tennis player he's also mesmerizing in table tennis as well. On Saturday, no opponent was needed as the 40-year-old repeatedly ripped forehands before hitting volleys for about a minute straight without missing.

"Back at it, playing table tennis with my friends," Federer wrote on Instagram.

The Swiss star isn't back to 100 percent on the tennis court and recently pulled out of a strand of events, including the Olympics, Toronto and Cincinnati due to his on-going knee recovery. This leaves the burning question of if the 20-time major champion will make an appearance in Flushing Meadows this year. Federer told the Agence France-Presse his return "is still a bit uncertain."

With his return timeline unknown, one thing that is certain is his table tennis play is ready for the major stage. Many fans took to the comment section to praise the world No. 9, even ATP player John Isner had to show a little love.

"Forest Gump has nothing on the GOAT," the American wrote.

Currently Federer is tied for the most Grand Slam singles titles on the men's side with Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
