Serena Williams produced countless jaw-dropping shots during a storied WTA Tour career that saw the American lift 23 Grand Slam singles trophies.

But on Friday, it was her turn to drop her jaw for a shot delivered by a GOAT from another sport.

Attending the Inter Miami CF game to see Lionel Messi make his Major League Soccer debut, Williams joined the likes of husband Alexis Ohanian, team co-owner David Beckham and wife Victoria Beckham, Tua Tagovailoa, Kim Kardashian and LeBron James to catch an up-close look at the Argentine’s greatness. And boy did the 36-year-old live up to the hype.

Messi came off the bench in the second half to make his new venture official at DRV PNK Stadium. With the score still tied at 1-1 between Miami and Cruz Azul in extra time, the visiting squad fouled. The free kick from 25 yards out set up the perfect narrative: a little Messi magic.

Using his signature left foot, Messi curled his strike around the wall of defenders and into the top left of the goal to clinch the victory. As 21,000 fans erupted, Williams was shook by the moment.
