Rihanna may have reigned during Super Bowl LVII (and also the Kansas City Chiefs won the football game) but Serena Williams dominated the in-betweens, debuting not one, but two commercials Sunday night.

The two ads aired before Halftime, and featured the full breadth of the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s acting chops in a Caddyshack-inspired bit for Michelob Ultra and a take on Any Given Sunday for Remy Martin Cognac.

The star-studded Michelob Ultra ad featured Emmy Award-winner Brian Cox along with sporting legends like Jimmy Butler, Alex Morgan, Nneka Ogwumike, and Tony Romo, while Remy Martin showed Williams at her dramatic best, delivering a pep talk for the ages.

“We’re in the dark right now,” says Williams, who played her last Grand Slam match at the 2022 US Open last summer. “And we can stay here, or we can fight our way back to the light, one inch at a time.”

Williams was delighted by her starring Super Bowl roles, tweeting about the ads in anticipation of Rihanna’s performance.
