Sharapova makes cameo on The Morning Show
Published Dec 13, 2019
Maria Sharapova put her acting skills to the test on The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
In Friday's episode, Sharapova's cameo is on a TV largely in the background of the scene, showing her on set with Aniston and Witherspoon.
"Wow, I've just got to say I love you guys together," Sharapova said on the show. "It's like watching a great tennis match."
The new drama is on Apple TV+ and Aniston works as a news anchor at a popular morning show. The male anchor (played by Steve Carrel) is fired for sexual misconduct, and Witherspoon ends up co-anchoring the show.
"But don’t sneeze, you might miss me," Sharapova said, and she's right. Her brief appearance comes around 20 minutes into the episode.
