It has become common for racquet companies to release special-edition cosmetics of their popular frames and other gear. The models often sport a nod to the colors of an upcoming Grand Slam, or perhaps a monochromatic design for a sleek, minimalist appeal. However, the bold AcidChrome color-up on the new Solinco x Brain Dead Whiteout V2 takes the concept to a whole different level.
In a fusion of high-performance tennis equipment and boundary-pushing streetwear, Solinco has joined forces with creative collective Brain Dead to release a truly unique Whiteout V2 racquet. With elements of acid-punk 90s nostalgia, the racquet’s surreal graphics and vivid coloring reflect both brands’ rebellious spirit. It’s a statement piece appealing to both competitive players and design-savvy collectors.
The racquet retains the same specs and technologies of the Whiteout 305 V2. It features a 98 square-inch head size and a thin, constant 21.7mm beam that offers good control, ball connection and all-court capabilities. For this second installment of the franchise, the major enhancement to the frame’s performance is Arch-2 Construction: A new carbon fiber layup designed to enhance power, stability and responsiveness, while enlarging the sweet spot.
