Jannik Sinner cruised past Austrian wild card Dennis Novak in the second round of Vienna on Thursday, 6-4, 6-2, and in doing so continued to build on one of the most impressive stats of the post-US Open season.

The 20-year-old Italian is now on a 10-match, 20-set winning streak on indoor hard courts, not losing a set en route to ATP 250 titles at Sofia and Antwerp and now at least another quarterfinal at the ATP 500 event in Vienna.

None of the last 17 sets in the streak have even gone to a tie-break.

SINNER ON INDOOR HARD COURTS SINCE THE US OPEN:
~ d. Gerasimov in Sofia 2nd Rd, 6-2, 7-6 (3)
~ d. Duckworth in Sofia QFs, 7-6 (4), 6-4
~ d. Krajinovic in Sofia SFs, 6-3, 7-5
~ d. Monfils in Sofia F, 6-3, 6-4
~ d. Musetti in Antwerp 2nd Rd, 7-5, 6-2
~ d. Rinderknech in Antwerp QFs, 6-4, 6-2
~ d. Harris in Antwerp SFs, 6-2, 6-2
~ d. Schwartzman in Antwerp F, 6-2, 6-2
~ d. Opelka in Vienna 1st Rd, 6-4, 6-2
~ d. Novak in Vienna 2nd Rd, 6-4, 6-2

It’s worth pointing out that this is an indoor hard-court winning streak, not an overall winning streak—in between his title runs in Sofia and Antwerp he played Indian Wells on outdoor hard courts, falling to Taylor Fritz in the fourth round.

Awaiting Sinner in the Vienna quarterfinals will be No. 8-ranked Casper Ruud, who will be the first Top 10 player he’s faced during this indoor stretch.
