Anytime Rafael Nadal wins a match at a Grand Slam, he’s usually adding onto some already historic numbers, and his 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Matteo Berrettini in the semifinals of the Australian Open today was no different—not only did it put him through to a sixth career Australian Open final and his 29th career Grand Slam final, but it was also the 500th tour-level win of his career on hard courts.

Another thing it did was improve his already-excellent record in major semis: Nadal has now won 21 of his last 25 major semifinals, a stretch that dates back to 2010.

He's now 29-7 in his career in major semifinals, going 8-3 before 2010.

Nadal has now reached 29 finals in 63 career Grand Slams played, which is 46%. If he beats Daniil Medvedev for his second Australian Open crown on Sunday he’ll have won 21 titles in 63 career Grand Slams played, which is exactly one third.
