He was in all kinds of trouble in the first set—down 5-3, faced a set point down 5-4, down 3-0 in the tie-break, faced another set point down 7-6 in the tie-break—but Stefanos Tsitsipas dug out of all of those holes and eventually beat Serbia’s Laslo Djere in two tie-breaks in his opening match in Acapulco on Tuesday night, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (4).

And it was a milestone—it was the 200th tour-level win of Tsitsipas’ career.
