Team USA gets tested on '90's pop- culture knowledge

For those lucky enough to grow up in the 1990’s, nostalgia can be a powerful emotion. But what about the 2000’s kids? Do they appreciate the rich cultural history and overwhelming feel-good vibes that 90’s kids enjoyed? Taylor Fritz clearly does.

At the Davis Cup tie against Uzbekistan in Honolulu, the Americans were put to the test off the court, too. The class of 1997, Tommy Paul, Taylor Fritz and Reilly Opelka, as well as 41-year-old twins Bob and Mike Bryan tried to show off their pop-culture knowledge.

Fritz put his fellow class members to shame. Four times he answered correctly while Paul and Opelka were left clueless. Fritz has two older half-brothers, who undoubtedly helped mold his impressive throwback tech and pop-culture prowess. One thing is for certain, though: Missy Elliot deserves better.
