Score: 6-0, 7-6 (2)

When an 18-year-old plays his second ever ATP match, fans don't expect much, especially when his opponent is a three-time Grand Slam champion. Yet in Rome, Lorenzo Musetti stunned the world by beating Wawrinka, complete with a bagel in the first set.

The Italian had only played one tour-level match before qualifying for the ATP Masters 1000, but he did not show any sighs of nerves as he ousted Wawrinka in under 90 minutes. Musetti won 49 percent of his return points and broke Wawrinka's serve four times.

Musetti continued to charge through Rome by defeating Kei Nishikori,  but he eventually lost in the round of 16.
