In an hour and 28 minutes the Italian booked his ticket into Sofia's final by posting a 6-3 7-5 win over Frenchman Adrian Mannarino. The win makes him the youngest player in the Open era since Felix Auger Aliassime in 2019 to reach an ATP final and the first player born in 2001 to do so.

Pospisil cracked 19 aces and converted five of seven break point opportunities against Richard Gasquet to claim the semifinal bout 6-7 (6), 6-2, 6-0. The world No. 74 is into his second final of the season.

Aryna Sabalenka

The world No. 11 was leading Ocean Dodin, 6-3, 3-3, when the French qualifier was forced to retire due to an ankle injury. Sabalenka, the top seed, is through the semifinals in Linz and has now won seven consecutive matches.
