A few Grand Slam champions were out sliding around on the red dirt at Roland Garros. This year's Australian Open champion was all smiles as she practiced on the newly enhanced Court Philippe-Chatrier. Meanwhile, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka enjoyed a focused hitting session.

With just a few days left to prepare, the players are hungry to capture the rescheduled major event before the year comes to an end.

These are the Top 5 Photos from Wednesday (All images from Corinne Dubreuil/FFT).

Sofia Kenin

In her clay court warmup event in Rome, the Australian Open champion shockingly fell 6-0, 6-0, to Victoria Azarenka in the first round. Kenin will look to adapt better to the clay next week.

Stan Wawrinka

The world No. 17 opted to not travel to the US Open and instead played an ATP Challenger event in Prague. Wawrinka would take the title, but the 35-year-old struggled in his Rome opener, losing to rising star Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets.

Andy Murray

Although Murray didn't get the results he wanted at the US Open, the Scot had a solid few weeks in New York. The 33-year-old defeated Frances Tiafoe and Alexander Zverev at the Western and Southern Open.

At the US Open, Murray was completely gassed from his first-round win over Yoshihito Nishioka and lost handily to Felix Auger-Aliassime. Perhaps by not entering a clay warm-up event, Murray will be energized and ready for more best-of-five action.

Angelique Kerber

The three-time Grand Slam champion put up a good fight against Jennifer Brady in the US Open's round of 16, but the American was on fire and carried on winning until the semifinals. Since then, Kerber took a first-round loss to Katerina Siniakova in Rome and will look to turn things around on the terre battue in Paris.

Alexander Zverev

Zverev had his chances and was close to taking this year's US Open title, but the fifth-set tiebreak against Dominic Thiem didn't swing his way. The world No. 7 has reached the last eight for two consecutive years at Roland Garros, but his confidence, plus the addition of David Ferrer to his team, could boost him even farther this year.
