In what feels like a lifetime ago but was actually the start of 2020, tennis bid farewell to one of its biggest starts, when Caroline Wozniacki retired at the tournament where she'd previously had her greatest triumph.

"It was a packed stadium ... there was 'Sweet Caroline' through the microphones ... I had the Danish flag on my back, I had my family there. I couldn't have scripted it any better," Wozniacki said after her third-round Australian Open defeat to Ons Jabeur, the final match of her career. "I think it was the perfect moment."

The longtime No. 1 received an outpouring of congratulations from all throughout tennis, and her presence was missed for the remainder of the season.

Still, Wozniacki has remained in the public eye—and she's already embarked on some new adventures.
