Trixie Mattel takes over The Break, rates iconic Australian Open styles

Tennis fashion has long brought with it an element of camp, and who better to break down some of the game’s most unforgettable Australian Open lewks than the Queen of Camp herself, Trixie Mattel.

“I’m not Australian,” she quips. “But I am open!”

Mattel debuted on season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in a nude illusion—which is not, in fact, an illusion of looking like a noodle—paying homage to country club tennis, making the All Stars 3 winner’s turn to Tennis Channel correspondent a clear and obvious career pivot.

“Whatever I say, take it with a big grain of salt,” she caveats. “I’m in a pair of men’s shoes and a fake Lacoste dress!”
