The Ultimate Tennis Showdown has been a saving grace for fans and players who have craved live tennis during the long hiatus. The new rules and format may have thrown some off, but the inaugural five-week tournament was a huge success.

Matteo Berrettini won UTS1 with an upset of Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final. He was rewarded for his hard work with a lightning bolt.

UTS isn't over yet. It will be back with a second edition, adding new ATP players and introducing a new four-player women's field. The female draw will include Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Ons Jabeur, Alize Cornet and 13-year-old Brenda Fruhvirtova.

Cornet and Pavlyuchenkova sent a special message to fans after the announcement.

The men's field is also getting an update, adding four new players to the lineup. So far, only two have been revealed: Grigor Dimitrov and Fernando Verdasco.

The innovative tournament will begin on Saturday with men's matches, and return for a second weekend Aug. 1-2 with the women.
