Venus promotes EleVen by Venus at World Team Tennis

At 38, Venus Williams is showing zero signs of slowing down. This week, she suited up for the Washington Kastles to take part in the 43rd season of World Team Tennis, and hinted at her desire to play in Tokyo in 2020.

Put to the test on Wednesday, the world No. 14 helped the Kastles win a 21-20 thrilling match over the San Diego Aviators. After dropping her doubles match with Nicole Melichar, 5-3, Williams won her singles over Naomi Broady, 5-2, to tie the match at 20-20.

This meant going to a supertiebreaker, a rare but exciting rule in the league matches. After saving four match points, Williams won the deciding point at 6-6 to secure the win.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion stays busy on and off the court. She wasted no time in promoting her sports clothing line, EleVen by Venus, which was available for purchase at the Kastles home stadium in Washington, D.C.

Williams returned to the WTT court on Thursday for her final match of the season, but dropped both her doubles and singles sets in a 22-15 loss to the Springfield Lasers. The Kastles are in second place in the league behind the Philadelphia Freedoms.
