Prior to the devastating news of highly-regarded designer Virgil Abloh's passing, Louis Vuitton (who Abloh served as men's artistic designer) planned to have a fashion show in Miami, one of a series of shows for the Art Basel fair. The luxury brand's CEO Michael Burke decided to proceed with the event as a celebration of Abloh's colorful life and career.

In a statement released earlier this week, Burke told press it would continue “per Virgil’s wishes.” One of the creator's biggest fans, Venus Williams attended the star-studded tribute show and took to Instagram to give a behind-the-scenes look while sharing her appreciation for him.

The seven-time major champion asked fans to take their health and wellness seriously. It's the very reason why she began doing her daily "Health and Wellness with Venus" Instagram Lives and believes it's the most important step to living a wonderful life. She proceeded to showcase the event's setup which was floating in the middle of the water and the runway trickled with birch trees before finding her seat.

"This is an opportunity to celebrate Virgil's life and an opportunity for us to take our health and wellness more seriously because we are fortunate enough to be able to control it," she said during the video. "Just praying for Virgil and his family.

Pursue your best self, pursue your energy and the time you have here. Don't take it for granted."

During the men's spring and summer collection fashion show, Venus sat next to Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and their daughter North. Venus also wore an all-white oversized jacket with a belt that provided body to the Louis Vuitton outfit—she of course matched it with a traditional LV bag.
