Ashleigh Barty is back in action after a well deserved vacation back home in Australia.

According to the 23-year-old, she didn’t even pick up a racquet for two weeks, and spent the majority of her time relaxing with family and friends.

“I was busy doing nothing,” Barty told Tennis Channel's Prakash Amritraj, “I had about two weeks off of tennis completely, which was nice.”

A two-week layoff is extreme for most players, but given her talent and natural athleticism, Barty could be just fine.

“I’m still adjusting and getting used to feeling the ball on the strings,” she said.

“There’s always good coffee in Canada,” Barty said. "I found a good place near our hotel, good as gold.”
