Billie Jean King has worn many hats during her lifetime. The legendary champion—on the court and off it—can now add “Royal Hen” after exercising her voice in a colorful new way.

On Wednesday, King was the first person to be revealed from Group B on Fox’s The Masked Singer, a singing competition where celebrity identities are concealed until they are voted off or crowned the winner.

The 79-year-old was unmasked after being edged by “Hawk” in a final smackdown battle of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” during the show's Elton John theme week after the pair landed in the bottom two.

“It was great, but it is so hot! I’m sweating bullets!” reacted King to host Nick Cannon.

Hints during Royal Hen’s introduction to viewers such as “holding court”, “trailblazer” and “90 million watching” were strong indicators that King just might be the person in disguise. Not to mention the tie-in between Royal and her last name...

If there was still any doubt it was her, the selection of “Philadelphia Freedom” from the legendary John and Bernie Taupin song book completed the link. In 1975, John famously released the anthem penned for King as a tribute to the World TeamTennis squad she played and coached the year prior, the Philadelphia Freedoms.

After King's solo performance, the Presidential Medal of Freedom was offered up as one final clue for those tuning in to consider.

Ken Jeong was the only member of the four-person panel to correctly guess the International Tennis Hall of Famer. The remaining predictions included Gloria Steinem, Dr. Ruth and Rita Moreno.
