April Fool’s Day is an objectively cringey holiday but Babolat proved there is still good clean fun to be had with help from an unsuspecting Carlos Alcaraz.

The former No. 1 is coming off a revitalizing Sunshine Swing, winning his first title since Wimbledon at the BNP Paribas Open, so he could be forgiven for feeling a little invincible after accepting a challenge to pull off a highly improbable trick shot.

Tasked with hitting a ball over a house and into a basket, Alcaraz made numerous attempts before thinking he’d pulled of the shot and then…you’ll have to watch the rest:

“You have hurt my feelings,” jokes Alcaraz after the prank was revealed, adding that his attempt was still pretty close.

The two-time Grand Slam champion is set to resume more serious business on clay at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, one of the few Masters 1000 events where he is yet to reach the quarterfinals.

His last appearance was in 2022, where he lost to American Sebastian Korda in three sets.
