Carlos Alcaraz’s 2023 season is over, but he’s still turning heads on the tennis court—even earning applause from world No. 1 Iga Swiatek.

The reigning Wimbledon champion was on court for the TennisFest GNP, an exhibition evening against Tommy Paul that also featured a women’s match between Maria Sakkari and Caroline Wozniacki. Up a set against his American rival, Alcaraz appeared to be out of position but nonetheless channeled his superb athleticism into a passing shot that left Paul stunned at the net.

Swiatek was similarly gobsmacked, posting her praise to Twitter/X.

Champion at the 2023 WTA Finals, Swiatek is no stranger to the hot shot, winning WTA Shot of the Year in 2019 and 2022, the latter at the Miami Open as she secured the top spot in the rankings for the first time:
