Would you buy popcorn from Maria Sakkari, or a tournament T-shirt from Daniil Medvedev? Fans found out at the BNP Paribas Open. (Well, sort of!)

The two Top 10 seeds, as well as Alex de Minaur, Ons Jabeur, Andrey Rublev and Holger Rune, went undercover around the grounds at Indian Wells over the tournament's first week in various event staff roles, with hilarious results: De Minaur worked as a parking lot attendant, Rune joined Medvedev at merchandise; Rublev worked as tournament security, and Jabeur passed out grounds maps.

What followed wouldn't have been out of place in an "Undercover Boss" episode as fans, largely, were clueless as to who they were interacting with. (There were some double takes and eventual recognition, to which the stars graciously offered selifes, autographs and handshakes.)

"So are you Medvedev's brother, or what?" one fan asks as Medvedev rings up his purchase.

"I mean, that's what everyone tells me," the Russian deadpans. "They ask for pictures every time. Every time, and they say I look like Medvedev. It's unbelievable."

"I get that a lot," Rune says to another fan who tells him that he bares a striking resemblance to ... Rune.

But the most LOL-worthy moments came courtesy of Rublev, who first replied to one fan that he "do[esn't] like him at all" when one fan said she noted a resemblance.

"Who do people say you look like?" another asked as the world No. 5 scanned her in, before she added: "I know ... [Jannik] Sinner!"

"Yes, for sure," Rublev replied, before quipping to a producer off-camera: "You got your content. They called me Sinner."

After a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win over France's Diane Parry in the fourth round, 2022 Indian Wells finalist Sakkari said the experience was memorable for many reasons.

"People here love tennis. I mean, I knew it from being inside the court, but just ... working, kind of working on the grounds, it was very nice to interact with people, because we don't really get to talk to them and just have, a normal chat as two regular human beings, not as a tennis player and a fan," she said.

"I love this tournament so much. I wanted to stay out there longer, but, people started recognizing me, so I had to go back.

"But it is a very nice place to be working and to be obviously visiting and just spending time here."
