Roger Federer and Marin Cilic were put on the spot in Shanghai on Saturday, after being asked to trade in their tennis skills for another sport played on a court: basketball.

Following a practice session on 'Roger Federer Fan Day', the pair of major champions briefly joined the Shanghai Sharks, a Chinese Basketball Association team, for a shootaround on the stadium court when tournament organizers placed a hoop on the sidelines. Federer successfully scored a couple of baskets to the delight of 17,000 fans and later took an airball in stride.

Following his experience, Federer playfully uploaded a GIF of beloved character Snoopy making the sport look easy.

A two-time Shanghai champion, the second-seeded Federer has a bye and could meet Cilic in the second round. The Croatian opens with Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
