Streamed live on Periscope, a press conference including the likes of Rod Laver, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe took place in New York City on Wednesday.

The special occasion was to discuss the new Laver Cup. Starting on September 22, 2017 in Prague, the team event will mimic golf's Ryder Cup in honor of Laver, the 77-year-old Australian legend who is the last man to win the calendar-year Grand Slam.

“I think it’s gong to be unbelievable,” Federer said on Wednesday. “To be on the same side of the net as Rafa, finally, is a great feeling…”

The best players from Europe will take on the best from the rest of the world. Each team will have six players, with competition featuring three singles matches and one doubles match each day.
