The grass court season made its official start this week and after eight weeks on clay, some players are more excited to switch surfaces than others.

Wimbledon quarterfinalist Félix Auger-Aliassime is clearly ready to build on his clay-court success—which culminated with a five-set thriller with Rafael Nadal in the fourth round of Roland Garros—and opted to celebrate the start of the grass swing with a reel posted to Instagram.

The world No. 9 is set to play his first match at the Libema Open in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, and despite rainy conditions wreaking havoc on the schedule, Auger-Aliassime has made the most of the brighter interludes, grabbing clips from the practice court, signing autographs, and taking a literal bite out of the Dutch lawns.

Auger-Aliassime has come agonizingly close to a major breakthrough since upsetting Alexander Zverev en route to the last eight at Wimbledon 12 months ago, reaching the US Open semifinals and bringing Daniil Medvedev to the brink of defeat at the Australian Open before repeating the feat against Nadal in Paris. In between, he finally captured his first ATP title indoors in Rotterdam after eight runner-up finishes.

With Nadal and Zverev dealing with injuries, and Medvedev and fellow Russian Andrey Rublev among the Russians and Belarusians excluded from the entry list, Auger-Aliassime could be a big beneficiary from all the uncertainty heading into SW19. Might this jaunty reel be the prologue for a month to remember?
