Another day, another heartbreaking injury. On Friday in Paris, David Goffin suffered a severe ankle injury as he sprinted his way to the back of the Suzanne-Lenglen Court. His opponent, Horacio Zeballos, moved into the fourth round after just nine games.

Zeballos, like his fellow Argentine Juan Martin del Potro on Thursday, rose to the occasion. In an act of sportsmanship, Zeballos packed and carried Goffin's bag off the court.

Goffin, the No. 10 seed, had been carrying momentum into the clay-court major, having gone deep in Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid.

The only good news so far for Goffin is that his ankle isn't broken.

Though it certainly looked like the damage was extensive.

Goffin is the fourth men's player to retire in Paris (joining Nicolas Almagro, Daniil Medvedev and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez).
