Nick Kyrgios tried to bring his love of basketball into a doubles match when he sprinted to block an overhead smash from his opponent. Considering Kyrgios has said he likes basketball more than tennis, it wasn't that out of character.

The strange tactical move happened at 4-4 in the first round of an ATP Challenger in Surbiton, where the Aussie was playing in the doubles draw after withdrawing from the French Open.

Kyrgios and his partner Jackson Withrow would fall in their opener, 6-7 (2), 6-3, 10-6 to Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan.
