WATCH: Monfils wins a game of butts up

Ouch. Sure, a lot of people would love to hit with Gael Monfils, but not like that. The Frenchman won a game of "butts up" while in Eastbourne, the final tuneup before Wimbledon.

Normally, the chance to hit a ball at a target (your opponent) is the result of a bet (butts up) after winning a game. The reward for the winner usually involves hitting a serve—which must bounce—at a row of opponents that are bent over.

That's apparently not how it works at the upper echelons of the sport. Monfils just drills a forehand—no bounce—at the two defenseless men, as Mike Bryan films it.

Tuesday was a washout at the ATP 500 event due to rain. Monfils is the No. 2 seed in  the singles draw, while the Bryans are the top seed in doubles.
