On Saturday, Ultimate Tennis Showdown 2 began with a few new faces, including Fernando Verdasco and Grigor Dimitrov, the latter of which is playing his first event since testing positive for COVID-19 in June.

The format is a little different too, with players split into two groups and winners moving into the semifinals where Alexander Zverev and Felix Auger-Aliassime are waiting.

Feliciano Lopez began the day with a 3-1 win over Alexei Popyrin, complete with some controversy on match point.

Dimitrov got shut out against Richard Gasquet 4-0, then Benoit Pair took out Dustin Brown, 3-1. Corentin Moutet made it a French hat trick and brought out the flashiness in a 3-2 win over Verdasco.
