Dinner with Steve could be in the cards for the Czech this week.

Who knows, Steve? You might have a shot.

After her first-round win over Yulia Putintseva in Birmingham, Barbora Strycova fielded a fan question in her on-court interview.

“I know you’re married, but any chance at dinner one night this week, if you stay around?” asked Steve by way of correspondence.

Strycova cleared something up first:

“First of all, I’m not married,” the world No. 18 said. “But I have a boyfriend.”

Then, she left the door open a little:

“But my boyfriend is not here, so we ‘might’ go for dinner."

Surely, Steve (who either wasn’t there or was just too shy to reply when called upon) can feel encouraged by one of the most famous fan/tennis star dates of all time: Eugenie Bouchard honoring a Super Bowl bet by way of Twitter.
