WATCH—The Hit: What Tiafoe needs to do to go higher

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Frances Tiafoe is one of the most affable young stars on the ATP Tour and his rise has been fun to watch for everyone, Chanda Rubin included.

The 21-year-old made a run to the Australian Open quarterfinals in January, boosting his ranking to a high of No. 29. After a few tougher weeks, the American has found his winning rhythm again in Miami, where he reached the quarterfinals.

It's been his best career ATP Masters 1000 performance since he joined the tour in 2015, and he's expected to rise back to No. 29 on Monday.
