A lot of moments in tennis get extra attention, like hot shots, errant balls and bad behavior, but this week in D.C., Dominic Thiem made news for all the right reasons. It happened when he was down a set, and tied at 4-4 against Kevin Anderson on Thursday night.

Anderson's return was called long, but Thiem signaled that it was in. Anderson, not wanting to waste a challenge, hesitated over what to do. Thiem insisted the ball was in, and the umpire announced that the Austrian had conceded the point.

The act of sportsmanship did not go unnoticed:

Karma did him good for a short while as he saved a match point to win the second set. Despite Thiem going up a break in the third, Anderson got the win, 6-3, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (7).

Stunned is a strong word, as Anderson is now 6-0 in career head-to-head matches against Thiem.
