Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Benoit Paire's opening match in Halle turned into a game of soccer rather than tennis.

In the second set, Paire let his racket slip from his hand after finishing his service motion, and instead of giving up on the point the world. No 28 let his feet take over. The foot rally continued until Paire went for a bicycle kick. The crowd was floored by the impromptu show and they erupted in applause.

Tsonga went on to claim the first-round victory, 6-4, 7-5. The Frenchman will face 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer on Thursday.
