David Goffin got extremely unlucky in his Rotterdam semifinals against Grigor Dimitrov. Down a set but up 1-0 in the second, the Belgian was hit in the eye with the ball after it ricocheted from his own racquet.

Goffin would take an injury time out, but not return to action. Dimitrov would get a pass into the final, but he was more concerned with Goffin's status than anything else.

Spectators couldn't help but note this is the second freak injury for Goffin in as many years.

Goffin got injured for months in a claycourt tarp and now this.

The guy is... unlucky.

Last year, he turned his ankle badly at Roland Garros on the back tarp.

There is some good news for Goffin in the end, although he will have to miss his next tournament.
