What coulda been: Rebel Wilson, pro tennis player?

Over the past decade, Rebel Wilson has enjoyed quite the career in the film industry. Whether it's her breakout character Fat Amy in the Pitch Perfect movie series, or more recent roles in Isn't It Romantic or Jojo Rabbit, the Australian has endured no shortage of opportunities.

On Thursday, the actress and comedian tweeted that her pathway into being on screen was her way of settling, after her tennis dreams didn't go according to plan. Her form looks pretty on point:

It's hardly a surprise to see Wilson posting about tennis. In 2019, she surfaced at Wimbledon in an unexpected way when she sat in Karolina Muchova's player box. The Czech would later explain that Wilson was the one to reach out and the two forged a friendship.

"She texted me on Twitter last year when I beat Muguruza," Muchova shared after reaching the quarterfinals at the All England Club. "I was, like, 'Wow.' I was surprised about that. Yeah, she's just super chill and a super nice person."

The two crossed paths again last November in Austria. And just over a week ago, Wilson celebrated the 24-year-old's Australian Open win over world No. 1 Ashleigh Barty from the comfort of her own home, toasting her friend's first trip to a Grand Slam semifinal in a series of IG stories.

It just goes to show, tennis really is a small world and it's a sport for everyone.
