World congratulates Swiatek on stunning Roland Garros run

It was a day filled with firsts for Iga Swiatek, who by beating Sofia Kenin, 6-4, 6-1, captured her maiden tour-level title at Roland Garros and became the first Polish player to win a Grand Slam singles championship.

With one of the most dominant fortnights in recent memory, Swiatek cruised through the entire tournament in straight sets—losing an average of just two games per set.
