Wozniacki bringing Serena to Copenhagen for her final match
Published Dec 12, 2019
When Caroline Wozniacki announced her retirement last week, the former world No. 1 revealed her last tournament would be January's Australian Open, the site of her greatest victory in 2018.
On Wednesday, the 29-year-old surprised her fans by announcing she was bringing BFF Serena Williams to Denmark on May 18 for an encore performance. The exhibition, titled “The Final One”, will be held at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen.
Those interested in attending were forced to make a quick decision, as the event sold out in a matter of hours. Ticketmaster Denmark is currently accepting expressions of interest for a waiting list should more tickets become available.
Earlier this year, Serena served as one of Wozniacki’s bridesmaids when the 30-time WTA champion tied the knot with former NBA star David Lee at the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany.
