Caroline Woznaicki is starting her Sydney campaign on a paddleboard, to some very strong results.

"I love beaches," Wozniacki said. "There’s so many beautiful beaches here in Sydney and in Australia. I’m a little bit terrified of the sharks, but other than that, I enjoy my time here."

If she's concerned about sharks, the world No. 20 should really have a chat with CoCo Vandeweghe, who boldly jumped into an aquarium full of them in Perth, and survived.

Wozniacki began 2017 with a quarterfinal run in Auckland (falling to Julia Goerges). This week, as the 10th seed in Sydney, she scored a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win over Monica Puig in the first round.
