From a "bedazzled tennis court" dress to luxury athleisure looks, Zendaya continues to ace the style game during the promotional tour for her upcoming Challengers movie. On Monday, the 27-year-old took her “method dressing” style philosophy to a whole new, slightly surreal level—thanks to a few custom pieces by trendy Spanish fashion house Loewe.

During a rooftop photocall in Rome, the Dune: Part Two star rocked a sparkling silver Loewe dress featuring sporty stripes, a deep-V and a pleated mini skirt—which clearly takes its tennis cues from the on-court separates worn by the pros.

But it was her playful white heels that stole the show, as she completed the look with Loewe pumps that featured a needle-thin heel piercing through a yellow tennis ball.

The Euphoria actress’ whimsical outfit stood out from the group as Zendaya posed for photos alongside Challengers co-stars Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist ahead of the film’s April 26 release date.

It’s also the latest delightful example of Zendaya and stylist Law Roach’s ‘method dressing’ which sees the star rock outfits that reference her latest projects during promotional events. During the press tour for Dune, where she played Chani and starred alongside Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya was often seen in futuristic, space-inspired pieces—like her famous Thierry Mugler robot suit.

And now that she’s promoting Challengers, Zendaya and Roach have looked to tennis fashion for everything from red-carpet premieres to her appearance with boyfriend Tom Holland at the BNP Paribas Open final last month.

In Indian Wells, Zendaya channeled main character Tashi Duncan, a tennis prodigy whose career is cut short by injury before she coaches husband Art to tennis greatness. Real-life Zendaya, who took part in a pre-match coin toss and enjoyed a meet and greet with women’s champion Iga Swiatek, wore a Louis Vuitton hoodie and pleated skirt combo for her own trip to the Tennis Channel suite.

Her look for the Sydney premiere of Challengers saw Zendaya dressed as a “bedazzled tennis court” in even more Loewe. She wore a sparkling green dress with a plunging neckline featuring the silhouette of a tennis player reaching up to serve a black, silver and yellow ball.

Challengers, directed by Luca Guadagnino, hits theaters in the U.S. on April 26—meaning there are likely plenty more tennis-inspired styles in store from Zendaya.
